Our services include registration of copyrights and trademarks with the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan, as well as advising on licensing, trademark assignment, data protection and infringement disputes. Employment & Labour

The firm has experience in issuing legal opinions on labour and employment laws of Pakistan and all matters ancillary thereto. We have drafted employment agreements and appeared before employment tribunals on behalf of our clients.

Startups & Fintech

We render advice to new businesses with respect to incorporating their companies, obtaining regulatory approvals, payment gateway licenses, and investment structuring (including SAFEs, ESOPS and Founder Stock Purchases). We have further guided clients through funding rounds with international VCs.

Litigation and Arbitration

Apart from corporate work, we advise on litigation and dispute resolution. Our services include drafting court documents, handling filings, and court appearances in Pakistan. We also recognize the shift towards using Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms in order to settle and resolve disputes and therefore have experience in arbitration, mediation and effective negotiation methods to assist our clients based on their needs.

Mergers and Acquisitions

The firm has experience in carrying out advisory and all transactionory work, (inclusive of closing and post-closing formalities) in relation to mergers, demergers and acquisitions of entities. We have considerable experience in acquiring / carving out businesses / assets through equity, business purchase or by way of a scheme of amalgamation sanctioned by the higher courts in Pakistan.

Shajee Hamid Hanfi

Managing Partner

Mr. Hanfi is a lawyer and an advocate of the High Courts in Pakistan. Mr. Hanfi has expertise in corporate advisory, regulatory framework for financial institutions, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, financing and debt instruments along with representing leading corporate organizations. Mr. Hanfi also has hands-on experience with closing various transactions recently, including Ed-Tech and Fin-Tech companies from their formation to realising investments by way of restructuring and otherwise.

Maha Fatima

Associate

Maha works closely with the Founding Partner, and is a key associate of the firm. She handles all corporate regulatory and advisory matters of the firm and specializes in the restructuring of local entities and foreign companies. She closely works with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SECP) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for various transactions of the firm. Maha has completed her LLB from University of London and is enrolled as a lawyer in the courts of Pakistan.
